Ernie was a little shy boy in the beginning but has learned to trust and gained so much confidence since going to his foster home. He is doing very well  and has come out of his shell quite a bit and he will be your lap buddy in no time at all.

He loves to play tug a war with his kennel mate Elmo and will chase any toy you toss and race to get it and bring it back to you. He loves to greet you with one of his favorite toys. You will often see him running with them in his mouth, He loves his toy more than anything. When you play fetch you may have to convince him at times to let it go but he has the right idea of how to play fetch!

Ernie spends many nights in bed with one of his foster humans or in a crate. He mush prefers to sleep with is human and is very well behaved.

Ernie weighs 55 pounds is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea, ticks and parasites.

Adoption Fee is $325 to help cover the cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines and preventatives as well as daily needs.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
