PRIOR TO BEING CONSIDERED AS HER ADOPTIVE FAMILY!.

Heidi is a sweet but shy little girl when she first meets new people. She is NOT your typical snuggle bunny so if a lap dog is what you are looking for, she may in time be that dog.For now she is just happy laying around the house, playing with her fur siblings or running outside, She will however, let you sit with her and allow you to pet her. She has come along way from when she first arrived here from a puppy mill in Northeast Alabama.
She has learned to walk on a leash and is doing great! Lots of toys would be great for her as she is still in the puppy stage and will chew on things she really shouldn't chew on.
Consistent training is a must to help Heidi transition into a loving obedient part of your family. She has so much potential and because of this we are asking that her adopters have experience in training.

Heidi is 9-10 months old. She currently weighs 33 pounds, and she is a mix between a Golden retriever and a poodle nad possible other breed. She is a non shedding dog and would be great with people that have allergies to pet dander.
She sleeps in a crate at night and will use the potty outside . She will jump up into the crate in our van but is still hesitant about approaching the van.
Heidi will require frequent visit to the groomer to keep her fur nice and fresh and free of matting and to keep the Teddy Bear look of her fur.
A fenced in yard is a must!

Heidi will make a great family pet. We don't recommend young children at this time.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
