Wally is a 14 pound 18 month old Shih Tzu mix. He is super cute and super sweet. He just wants to be your lap dog! He is good in the house and does go out to do his business. He is great on a leash and loves to go for car rides and walks.He is crate trained. He is good with other dogs, chases cats in the house but will not hurt them. He only wants to play. Good with kids and all adults.
 
Wally also has some nerve damage to his front right paw causing him to slightly drag his toes under resulting in his nails being worn down. There is no surgery that will correct this. It does not slow him down or cause him any pain. However, the vet recommends that if he is to be walking on concrete or any other rough surface that he wear doggy booties to protect the skin and nails on his foot. He will not need booties on grassy areas or carpet or any other soft surface.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
